Molson Kawasaki's Gareth Swanepoel has lead the team to another top ten result, this time at the 'Porters Pit' circuit in Desert Martin, Ireland. Swanepoel placed 5th in Saturday's qualifying race despite contracting a bout of flu prior to the event.

Subaru Rally Team USA driver Travis Pastrana has won his first ever Rally America National Championship event, at the Ojibwe Forests Rally in Northern Minnesota. The 22-year-old Pastrana along with his co-driver Christian Edstrom led the Ojibwe Forests Rally early on and pulled away from the competition on day two to win by a comfortable margin of well over one minute. Pastrana and his BFGoodrich Tires shod 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car now have a commanding lead in the Rally America National Championship with just three rounds remaining.
Breaking News as Josh Coppins has dashed Stefan Everts hopes for a 100th GP victory with a second race pass that Everts couldn't stop from happening! Everts took the first MX1 race with Coppins right behind but in the second duel, Coppins put over five seconds between himself and Everts, taking the overall win! More to come on this!
Ricky Carmichael, 26, from Havana, Fla., clinched the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Presented by FMF on Sunday, Aug. 20, with a victory at Broome-Tioga Sports Center in rural Binghamton, N.Y. It marked one of the earliest points in the season a rider has secured the title. Two events still remain this season.
