The last two weekends were full of traveling for Pro privateer, Clayton Miller and his Honda of Houston ride. From the great state of Virtue and Independence (PA) to the land of America's first Gold Rush (CA), Mr. Miller and his mechanic, Charles Marchant traveled over 2400 miles in one week. Once arriving at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, Pennsylvania the weather forecast was not good.
The day started with the presentation of Stevan Everts' new bike livery and clothing; the Yamaha YZ450FM was covered with a chequered flag design reporting all 100 GP wins that Everts caught. In the first moto Cairoli lead from the first lap and completed the first mission: winning first moto. At the end of the first heat his gap from Pourcel was 25 points because Christophe made to finish second
Josh Coppins showed great speed in qualifying and was just ousted out of pole position by Mickael Pichon on a somewhat wet and muddy circuit. Weather conditions improved for Sunday's race as the first MX1 moto would bring the two ex-rivals together in the worst possible way. Pichon misjudged the second turn jump and hit Coppins in the back of his motorcycle.

The venue of the 2005 FOX Motocross of Nations is well prepared to face a crazy weekend of Motocross with local hero Christophe Pourcel going for his chance to secure the MX2 Title. It has been a long lasting fight in the smaller Motocross class, with a KTM Champ storm at the beginning of the season thanks to Marc de Reuver and Tyla Rattray.
Swanepoel will be out of action for at least 12 weeks before his preparations for the 2007 GP season start in December. Swanepoel will be replaced by fellow South African, Neville Bradshaw at the upcoming Motocross of Nations event in Matterly Basin on the 23-24 September.
"This is obviously great news for the riders," explained Tim Clark co-promoter of the event. "Tom is a true enthusiast who enjoys getting involved with the sport. When he contacted us and said he wanted to do something for the riders, we jumped right on it and came up with the plan to reward each of the class winners from the Qualifier round on Friday."
