Deployed on Sunday, and should theoretically be hitting the ground in Afghanistan today.

Kalie seems to be okay about it, but I'm sure she's just playing the tough little Marine GF.

If she's not just playing tough, she's got me beat, 'cause I'm worried as hell (we just lost another local kid over there last week).

This is his third deployment so I know he knows how to play safe, but his first two were Iraq and there's a lot more action in Afghanistan.

I wish I didn't like the kid so much.

I've gotta budy stationed in Okinawa who has been telling me about how much shit is going on over there. Glad we've got the kinda men and women it takes to do this stuff.
